Description

Lancashire and South Cumbria is the major health and wellbeing provider for a population of 1.7 million people across Lancashire and, from 1 October, South Cumbria.  A provider of mental health and learning disability services we also provide community services and we work with a range of partners across a complex health and care system.  We are the only healthcare provider who operates across the whole of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System and we employ over 7000 members of staff operating in more than 400 sites with an annual budget of over £350 million.

Following the recent appointment of Caroline Donovan as our new Chief Executive, we are building a refreshed Board with the experience and drive to address significant operational challenges.  We are seeking to transform the organisation to deliver sustainable and improved services that respond to the changing needs of our populations.  Our Director of People and Organisational Development will play a central role in our Board and creating the right environment for our committed staff to flourish so they can continually improve the services we provide.  As a complex organisation we are creating a structure that will respond locally to our diverse population needs and encourage collaboration within the wider health and care partnerships we operate to ensure our service users experience seamless pathways of care.

We are seeking a strong people and organisational development professional with a proven track record of leading complex change in a politically sensitive and complex environment. Previous NHS experience is not essential.  We are seeking a compassionate and transformational leader who shares our values, who can engage, inspire and influence at all levels.  Demonstrating resilience in the face of challenge; you will provide a clear vision, harness the ideas and talents of our committed staff and develop both our future people strategy and organisational culture to be fit for the future.  Quickly building credibility with a range of stakeholders you will demonstrate a commitment to our staff and passion for improving the lives of the people we serve.
