Executive Recruitment

Welcome from Helen Farrington, Chief People Officer

Dear Candidate

Thank you for your interest in the new Deputy Chief People Officer and Director of Organisational Development (OD) & Inclusion role. This new position in the Trust will be a key component of our ambitious journey of improvement and vision for the future. We have spent the last year listening to our staff, service users and carers and partners to understand how we need to change our services for the future. Our new organisational structure, effective from the 1st April 2021, will align our people and services through Locality Networks, with our systems’ Integrated Care Partnerships. This will enable great partnership working and local service delivery with consistent high quality for people using our services no matter where they access them.

We have a real and exciting opportunity to improve population health, address health inequalities and provide consistent, high quality services in partnership with our communities. This will be achieved through our 7,000 strong workforce and we are committed to making the Trust a great place to both work and learn.

This is a broad strategic role, with significant Board exposure and responsibility for the design and delivery of a diverse and inclusive workplace and culture, an approach to health and wellbeing that improves employee health and experience and a progressive organisational development programme that enables a culture of adaptive change, compassionate leadership, employee engagement and psychological safety. In addition, you will be responsible for strategic workforce planning, talent management and succession planning, and recruitment and resourcing. You will ensure a proactive approach is taken to transform our workforce and build our employer reputation and brand to attract and retain a skilled and diverse workforce.

As an experienced OD professional comfortable in working with Boards of complex organisations, you will join a senior leadership team that is highly-motivated and we are keen to attract those that share our pace, drive and ambition for the Trust, and the people of Lancashire and South Cumbria.

If you have been inspired by our vision and plans, then I encourage you to explore this opportunity further both on this site and through a conversation with Michelle Shirley or Emma Pickup of GatenbySanderson on 0113 205 6073.
